Stunning images of tiny worlds unveiled in Nikon’s Small World in Motion contest – video


The champions of the Nikon Small World in Motion film contest have been declared, with Dr. Alexandre Dumoulin’s accelerated video of developing neurons in a chick embryo claiming first place.

Dumoulin stated that their goal in studying chick and mouse embryos is to improve our understanding of the nervous system and identify potential causes of neurodevelopmental disorders.
