Video shows World Cup trophy stolen during burglary at South Africa rugby headquarters.


Security camera footage captured the moment when thieves illegally entered the headquarters of the South African Rugby Union and made physical contact with the newly acquired World Cup trophy before departing. The video, which was shared on X by journalist Yusuf Abramjee, shows one of the burglars placing a gloved hand on the trophy and lifting it slightly, then proceeding to the cabinets below. The burglars left the trophy untouched but took whiskey, five autographed Springbok jerseys, and eight laptops instead.
