This week, Red Bull is preparing to reveal their decision regarding Christian Horner.

The results of an inquiry into the behavior of Christian Horner, the team leader of Red Bull Racing, may be revealed as early as Wednesday, before the cars participate in the first session of the upcoming Formula One season in Bahrain.

An inquiry initiated by Red Bull Racing’s parent company in Austria, in response to a complaint from a female employee regarding inappropriate behavior, has been ongoing since the beginning of February. Horner, in an interview conducted as part of the investigation, strongly denied any misconduct and vigorously defended himself.

Although an official timeline for the investigation’s conclusion has not been established, the Guardian has learned that a report has been submitted to Red Bull GmbH and an announcement regarding the decision is anticipated this week.

This investigation is not a legal process, and Horner is not being taken to court. The inquiry will be carried out privately by an outside lawyer, and the company will review the results and respond as they deem appropriate. Horner will still have the usual option of seeking legal action.

The inquiry, conducted by an unidentified British barrister, has not released any information regarding the investigation or the complaint, except that it involves an accusation of “controlling” behavior.

During the investigation, 50-year-old Horner continued in his roles as team principal and chief executive of Red Bull Racing. He oversaw the team’s car launch and attended the three days of testing in Bahrain last week. Horner publicly maintained his innocence and expressed confidence in the ongoing process during the launch and testing, addressing the media. He hopes for a quick resolution to the situation as the new season approaches.

He is anticipated to return to Bahrain on Wednesday, where the pit lane is getting ready for the initial race of the year. If he is ousted from his position, it would cause a major disruption on the eve of the first round of the season, in which Red Bull holds the title and possesses a powerful car once again.
