Ireland dominates with a 36-0 win over Italy in the Six Nations 2024 tournament, here’s a recap of the game.

The Six Nations trophy was taken out on a beautiful, sunny late winter day in Dublin. The weather was perfect for the occasion.

Although there has been discussion about Italy posing a more difficult challenge, Andy Farrell has still made six adjustments to the team, including some key players. Peter O’Mahony, Bundee Aki, Tadhgs Beirne, Furlong, and Jamison Gibson-Park will not be starting.

The Italian team is happy to have Ange Capuozzo returning as fullback, taking over for Tommy Allan. Stephen Varney will also be playing as scrum half. The team has had to make some changes due to injuries, with Alessandro Izekor and Manuel Zuliani filling in for Sebastian Negri and Lorenzo Cannone in the back row. This also moves captain Michele Lamaro to the position of Number 8.

IRELAND: Hugo Keenan; Calvin Nash, Robbie Henshaw, Stuart McCloskey, James Lowe; Jack Crowley, Craig Casey, Andrew Porter, Dan Sheehan, Finlay Bealham, Joe McCarthy, James Ryan, Ryan Baird, Caelan Doris (capt), Jack Conan.

Replacements: Ronan Kelleher, Jeremy Loughman, Tom O’Toole, Iain Henderson, Josh van der Flier, Jamison Gibson-Park, Harry Byrne, Jordan Larmour

The Italian team consists of Ange Capuozzo, Lorenzo Pani, Juan Ignacio Brex, Tommaso Menoncello, and Montanna Ioane. They are joined by Paolo Garbisi and Stephen Varney as well as Danilo Fischetti, Gianmarco Lucchesi, Pietro Ceccarelli, Niccolo Cannone, Federico Ruzza, Alessandro Izekor, Manuel Zulani, and team captain Michele Lamaro.

Replacements: Giacomo Nicotera, Mirco Spagnolo, Giosue Zilocchi, Andrea Zambonin, Ross Vintcent, Martin Page-Relo, Tommaso Allan, Federico Mori

Honestly, this is not an exciting match to anticipate. The outcome is as predictable as Bradley Walsh’s son receiving an undeserved presenting job. In the past 14 encounters, Italy has never defeated Ireland and has never managed to do so in Dublin. It is highly unlikely to occur today as well.

What should be the main focus in order to maintain interest in the upcoming hours? Italy has undergone a transformation since their defeat in the Rugby World Cup. Their energetic and strong young forwards, as seen in the England match, always provide an exciting game.

Ireland supporters will rely on Jack Crowley to solidify the impressive manner in which he led the team in the Marseille win, as well as Caelan Doris’s growing leadership abilities as captain.

It’s simple to dismiss a game as not worth the effort when the only aspect being discussed is the difference in score rather than the winner. However, don’t be shocked if this ends up being an intriguing battle – both teams have enough skill to make it a great one.
