A troupe of Joaldunak known as Zanpantzar participate in the annual festival held in the Pyrenees towns of Ituren and Zubieta. This traditional carnival, which dates back to pre-Roman times, features groups of Joaldunak (bell-wearers) marching through the streets wearing costumes consisting of sandals, lace skirts, sheepskins, colorful bandanas, pointed hats, and a bundle of horsehair in their right hands.
