In a letter addressed on March 4th, Jomo Kenyatta was not the initial individual, among many Africans and a few Europeans, to acknowledge the church’s involvement in the history of slavery and colonialism. For instance, in a 1902 sermon, Reverend Dr. Mojola Agbebi, a prominent Nigerian figure, stated that “European Christianity is a perilous concept. How can one trust a religion that encourages gathering treasures in heaven with one hand, while the other hand grasps for your worldly possessions, takes away your traditional lands, and places restrictions on your patrimony with inexplicable laws?”

I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the diverse group of solo female travelers and the excellent recommendations for future trips (Letters, March 7). May I recommend the West Highland Way? In the evenings, people of all backgrounds would gather at the pubs and socialize. Even a Californian couple who were completing the trail in 10 leisurely days kept mentioning the impressive 83-year-old Margaret whom everyone should meet. This led to unexpected conversations with strangers. My experience on this trail was absolutely wonderful.

According to a letter written by Roderick Stewart on March 4th, he cannot identify any area in which the BBC excels compared to others. The exception to this, however, is radio, specifically Radio 3 and 4. These stations offer a variety of content such as concerts, documentaries, and plays. The BBC also has multiple orchestras under its employment, making it a crucial contributor to the cultural well-being of the nation.
